A study conducted by PwC in 2020: Understanding the Effectiveness of VR Soft Skill Training in the Enterprise
Employees trained using VR completed training faster
They were up to four times faster in VR than in the classroom and 1.5 times faster than in e-learning.
VR learners were more confident
The study found a significant increase in confidence about acting on diversity and inclusion issues after training. VR learners were up to 275% more confident about acting on what they learned. The results also showed a 40% improvement over classroom training and a 35% improvement over e-learning.
Immersive content creates greater emotional engagement
This graphic shows the average emotional connection learners felt with the content. VR learners felt 3.75 times more emotionally connected to the content than classroom learners and 2.3 times more connected than e-learning participants.
Employees in VR were more focused during the training
Immersive experiences engage both vision and attention. The study found that VR-trained learners were up to four times more focused during training than e-learning learners and 1.5 times more focused than their classroom counterparts.
